If anyone knows the year or more about this truck, let us know. Also, there seems to be a total lack of history on Butternut. I didn't even know whether it still existed or not. I guess it's part of Hostess and does exist, but other than that, I couldn't locate any cool history on the brand. If anyone has anything to share about Butternut in the past or has any fun Butternut stories to tell, please do.
I don't know about the truck or the bread anymore. I do know we used to see it on the shelves in Springfield. We used to have a Holsum Bakery too; they might have been connected.
ReplyDeleteThat OLD cause I recognize it! Butternut was around in the 1960's when I lived in Springfield. Had someone driven it there or was it just parked to get people to LOOK> I noticed a lot of places did that with old cars out front.
