First Flowers of Spring 2013 at Crooked Pine

Wow!  Flowers have bloomed!  It sure does it early around here.  These are the first flowers of spring in the woods right next to my house.

The first and last shots are mine and the close-ups are my friend's.  He's a talented photographer and has a very good camera.  It's always interesting to get different perspectives and two different photographers can provide that.

(That reference in the title to Crooked Pine is where I live.  The actual crooked pine is on my property and I'll take a nice picture of it later and post it.)

Happy Flowery Days!

  3. Oh my gosh! Do they usually bloom this early? Maybe they are a tad bit confused with this crazy MO weather. They look so pretty!

  4. Jealous!! lol.. I'm just happy to have had cilantro all winter 'up here' in central MO. I see now you're living in AR.. so guess you're just far enough south to have early flowers. Lucky! The photos are beautiful. Thank you for sharing and making us all long for Spring :) -Tammy

  5. Victoria, we are just three days behind you...first crocuses of the year today. Daffodils are nowhere near ready, though.
