Happy Thanksgiving From the Ozarks

Just got back from Thanksgiving Brunch at the Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks, lovingly known as "Hard Work U" and it was wonderful .  Sitting in the expansive log lodge and taking it all in, the food (particularly the breakfast sausage, turkey gravy and maple cheesecake), the sweet students who work their way through college rather than pay tuition...  Well, what can I say?  Just very memorable and enjoyable, that's all .

I had a fabulous time and for all those who've decided to go alternate routes with the holidays and venture out rather than stay at home, I highly recommend taking in brunch at the College of the Ozarks.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Brunch sounds tasty and the lodge must be beautiful...
    enjoy your celebrations.

Did you hear that Black Friday has been picked up by some retailers here in Canada? I'm not sure what to make of that news.

    1. I've never partaken of Black Friday. That many crowds seem a little overwhelming to me, although I'm tempted to go tomorrow. I happened by Best Buy electronics store today (just a drive through the parking lot) and folks were camped out in their tents in front of the store getting ready for tomorrow - LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. If you decide to do Black Friday, Have Fun and be sure to share with us your shopping tales.

  2. Sounds wonderful! We were in Branson for Thanksgiving, but ate in our condo. We had a lazy day until time to go to SDC in the evening.

  3. The husband of my best friend came from very poor people down in the Bootheel and he was able to work his way through college at College of the Ozarks. It was a wonderful thing for him. We were watching a documentary on Little Richard recently and as soon as they showed him singing "Good Golly Miss Molly" we knew we had a name for the new dog. She is now "Miss Molly"
